His tib-tickling style of gaming banter has earnt him millions of subscribers and helped him get up to all kinds of antics on the internet. 1. He’s called Ben

Crainer’s real name is Benjamin Dreyer Vestergård. He was born on December 12, 1994, in Denmark, where he grew up before starting his career on YouTube. Denmark is a country in Northern Europe, famous for Vikings, salty liquorice and now… Youtubers!

2. He can speak two languages!

Being from Denmark, Crainer is bilingual and speaks both Danish and English fluently! He chose to make his content in English to reach more people, and speaking English has helped him attract millions of fans from all over the world. Although most of his videos are in English, his Danish heritage is a big deal for him!

3. Minecraft was his big break!

His Minecraft videos were what helped Crainer build his audience, especially his Minecraft series “Lucky Block” and “SkyFactory”. These series often involved fun challenges, modded gameplay, and collaborations, which all helped Crainer stand out! There’s a lot of competition on YouTube, but he managed to get noticed!

4. He puts in the work

Crainer has a few different YouTube channels, each one releasing different kinds of videos. His main channel, simply named “Crainer,” is where he uploads his gaming content, like Minecraft, Roblox, and Among Us. He also had a vlogging and challenge channel with his wife (more on her later) and he also streams on Twitch!

5. He’s one half of a power couple!

Crainer and Thea Kornum are one of YouTube’s well-known couples, and together they ran the channel “Thea & Crainer.” This channel focused on fun challenges, pranks, and everyday vlogs, showing what they get up to when they’re not gaming. The two married in 2019 and have had a baby!

6. He has some famous friends

Part of Crainer’s success is down to how well he gets on with other members of the Youtube community. His friendship with SSundee (Ian Stapleton) was a big deal and together they made some of the most popular Minecraft content on Youtube! He has also collaborated with other big YouTubers like Jelly and Kwebbelkop, growing his audience and teaching him new tips and tricks!

7. His fans are Crazies

Well that’s what he calls them, anyway! Crainers fans either get called Crazies or Crainer Family, which fits really well with his fast-talking, laugh-out-loud style! He’s alwas chopping his videos up and doing unexpected stuff, which is one of the big reasons he’s so popular!

8. He’s family friendly

Unlike a lot of Youtubers, Crainer’s style is kid friendly! He doesn’t use rude words or talk about heavy topics, just pure gaming content! This doesn’t mean his videos are boring though, in fact far from it!

9. He started early!

One of the reasons Crainer is popular with kids is because he was one when he started! Crainer began his YouTube career at a young age, starting his channel in 2014 when he was just 18 years old. Like many early YouTubers, he experimented with lots of different types of content before finding Minecraft!

10. He sells a lot of merch

Like many successful YouTubers, Crainer has his own line of merchandise! He sells things like hoodies and t-shirts and accessories like phone cases and mugs. He makes a living from it! Imagine if that was your job!

11. He’s super popular

Over the years, Crainer has amassed a large following on YouTube. His main channel boasts over 7 million subscribers – that’s about the population of Hong Kong! This many people from all around the world must mean he’s onto a wining formula.

12. He understands mental health

Crainer has been open about taking breaks from YouTube to focus on his mental health and personal life. He’s spoken about the pressures of being a content creator and how the constant need to produce content can sometimes be overwhelming. By talking about stuff like this openly, he’s setting a good example. Because we all need a break sometimes!

13. Lucky Block

Lucky Block is maybe Crainer’s most famous set of videos. In the videos he opened random blocks that can either give great rewards or terrible punishments – leading to unpredictable and hilarious results! The series became a big fan favourite because it was so creative, and helped Crainer get the respect he deserves as a top-tier Minecraft YouTuber!

14. He’s a vlogger

His “watch-me-play” style videos are definitely what made Crainer famous, but he also releases more personal videos every now and again. These are updates on big events in his life, or even just a peek into what he gets up to when he’s not on Youtube! These kinds of videos show a new side to him, and make him much more relatable.

15. The Ssundee thing

Crainer and Ssundee used to be best mates, and often appeared on each other’s videos! Their banter together was one of the best things about their early videos, but as often happens – they fell out. Some people online tried to make out it was a big feud with lots of arguing between the two of them, but they have both said they have just decided to go their seperate ways. Nothing to see here, everyone!
