1. She’s a Youtuber

You probably already know this one – but Moriah Elizabeth is a well-known Youtuber that makes loads of different kinds of arty, crafty videos for families and kids. She’s an amazing artist that works with lots of different things – we’ll get to exactly what in just a minute!

2. Moriah’s from California

Moriah keeps her family life pretty private, but she was born in California on 14th November, 1994. Her parents are Peruvian/Italian, and American. So her background has been influenced by all three of those cultures!

3. She started off making Vlogs

Moriah started her Youtuber channel over 12 years ago! When she first started out it was just fun vlogs and parody videos. Over time she started getting more arty, and started showing her drawings. Her big break came with her Wreck This Journal series!

4. Wreck This Journal

Moriah started getting lots of new viewers when she began her series called “Wreck This Journal”. In the videos she went through her drawing journals and gave herself challenges, like “chew some brightly coloured candy and lick this page” and “fill this page with circles”. Her audience loved these videos, and she did lots of them!

5. She encourages people to be creative

Through her videos, Moriah is always asking her fans to think of their own ideas, or use her prompts to make their own journals. Lots of her fans do, and send her their work or comment what they did underneath her videos!

6. She has a Spanish channel

As a Californian with a Peruvian parent, it’s not too surprising that Moriah speaks Spanish! She’s the kind of content creator who likes to give back to her community so she also produces a Spanish language channel called, you guessed it – Moriah Elizabeth en Español!

Running a popular Youtube channel sounds glamorous, but it can be hard to make a living from videos alone! So Moriah also sells merch from her website. She sells cuddly toys, t-shirts – and even journals that you can follow along to her videos with!

Moriah has been making videos for a long time, since she was a kid herself! But time has moved on, and now she has a family of her own. Moriah has a daughter called Alex, and even gets her to choose ideas for Moriah to draw or make in her videos!

Most of her content is arty, and show tutorials on how to make certain things or explains what she’s been making recently. But she also makes lots and lots of craft projects, and there are plenty of videos of her redecorating things around the house, or even mixing up different slime recipes!

Anyone who’s seen Moriah’s videos will know she’s a huge animal fan! Her videos often focus on animal designs and cute creatures, and she loves animals when she’s behind the camera too! She’s a proud owner of a cat called Opie, who even appears in videos sometimes!

Moriah isn’t just a Youtuber- she’s on Tiktok and other social media sites too! On TikTok she has around 2 million followers! She posts much of the same stuff as on her Youtube, but also more relaxed clips of her going about her daily life!

Youtube is her biggest platform though, where she’s built up a whopping 10 million subscribers! And counting! She’s done this by posting regularly for years and years and years, all the way from being a kid. Over this time you can see she’s changed a lot as an artist.

Her videos are full of fun sound effects and creative effects like wipes and video transitions. She often uses this to make fun of her own mistakes or point out little funny details in whatever project she’s working on!
