Beano Superstars – Billie Whizz

Here’s all you need to know about Billy Whizz’s cousin – Billie Whizz!

Beano Superstars - Billie Whizz
placeholder

When the two fastest people in Beanotown share the same sounding name, things can get a little confusing! I’m Billie Whizz, Billy Whizz‘s cousin. Billie. Not Billy. Now we’ve got that out of the way, it’s time to tell you a bit about myself before I pop out for a run.

I’m just as fast as Billy and there’s nothing more we enjoying than tearing around Beanotown together. It doesn’t matter what the weather’s like, because we can run so fast the rain doesn’t get us wet. But you have to be careful running on wet pavements. You might slip in a puddle.

Billy lives near Beanotown United stadium, so we like to do a few laps to warm up. We’re so quick, no one realises we’ve even sprinted around the football field. The only time someone got a feeling we ran past is because their football programme and pie flew out of their hand. I caught it on the way back round and handed it back to them. They were really confused!

My hero is Dina Asher-Smith, who is a gold medal athlete and has been called “Britain’s fastest woman ever”. She’s won a medal at the Olympics and everything. I want to be like her when I grow up. I reckon I’d do really well. There’s an Olympic Games taking place in Los Angeles, California in 2028, so I’ve got plenty of time to train. And then there’s another one in Brisbane, Australia four years later.

Apart from winning gold medals for running, I’ve got lots of ambitions – one of them is to run ever faster than before.

What else do you want to know? My favourite lesson at school is P.E. especially when we have races at sports day. I win them all and I think that’s what has given me the idea to try for the Olympics one day!

Until then, I’ll just keep running around. Bye!
