Play Biker Type Racing

Ever ridden in a motocross race? How about with a keyboard instead of a motorbike? Well, either way, now is your chance.

Motocross has actually been a sport for over 100 years, but has it EVER been combined with a keyboard typing challenge before? Our experts at Beano.com don’t think so!

First, choose the colour of your bike – do you want glowing green, rapid red, perfect purple, or brilliant blue? It’s a simple race from the starting line to the finish – but hopefully whatever colour you choose will soon just be a blur of pure SPEED.

To accelerate your dirt bike, all you have to do is type the letters that appear on the screen. Make sure that they’re the correct letters, and you’ll get a tiny speed boost for each one that’s right. But if you make mistakes, you’ll get a tiny speed penalty for each letter that’s wrong. These tiny boosts can add up, to help you gain on your opponents; but the penalties for incorrect letters can do the opposite, and hold you back while your competitors leave you in their dust!

You can select your difficulty level by choosing the word length – short words can be typed quickly because they require fewer keystrokes, whereas longer words have more letters (meaning more opportunities to slip up, make a mistake, and lose speed). Start with the shorter 3 and 4 letter words, and try winning some races when the scope is smaller. You’ll get a speed bonus for completing words correctly and without any mistakes, and PLUS you’ll get more bonuses for completing words! Longer words mean you can get some good momentum typing a whole word, but it becomes a challenge when you have to spell words like “Equinox” and “Lacquers”.

Vocabulary aside, can YOU win the race against your fellow typing-bikers by typing the fastest? Find out by playing Biker Type Racing!
