I'm Agent Q and work closely with Beanotown's top young spy, Dangerous Dan. My daily job involves drawing up secret missions and handing out gadgets from our secret HQ. All I can tell you is that is it's closer than you think, but too far away to see. I have to keep things vague, you see. I can't give out our address to any random person, otherwise the people at S.M.I.R.K. – that's the Secret Ministry of Intelligent Rotters Komittee, led by someone known only as The Prefect – will do their best to defeat us!

My role at HQ is known as a handler. Think of a handler as a sports coach or perhaps a football manager. My job is to guide and train spies so they can be the best they can be. One of the first things would be to check if they're wearing a name badge. If they are, then that has to go in the bin, I'm afraid. Making sure you're not wearing a name badge is actually one of the first things they teach you in spy school. It seems like common sense, but you'd be surprised at how many trainee spies turn up with a name badge, and have their name written on their lunch box. Secrecy is everything. It's bread and butter for spies. Speaking of butter, I once found a gadget inside our canteen butter which was broadcasting information to S.M.I.R.K. Luckily for us, all they must have heard was the radio and our canteen staff singing while they prepared a healthy lunch for the spies.
