Smiling!
Smiling is a great way to ease an awkward situation! You're good at making other people feel at ease, and you're a naturally friendly person. This doesn't always come easy to Sheldon, though – unlike you, he has difficulty relating to other people.
Asking questions!
Asking questions is a good way to make an awkward situation better! It's a good tool for when you meet new people and you still feel awkward around them. Be sure to ask them about themselves to make the conversation flow – but don't ask anything too personal, because that's not polite!
Using humour!
Uh oh – you've just made a HUGE blunder and said something very rude! The quickest way to cover it up is to turn it into a joke – especially if you turn it around and make fun of yourself! It's still good to apologise when something like this happens, but humour can make it easier.
Acknowledging how awkward it is!
You're a very direct person (a bit like Sheldon!) so when things get awkward, you like to just get straight to the point and acknowledge how weird it is! This doesn't always work (in fact in can sometimes make it MORE awkward!), but your loved ones appreciate how honest you are!
