Everything There is To Know About Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Infinity War is going to be the biggest film of the year! There's so much to know about it
We're SO EXCITED about Avengers: Infinity War! It's the beginning of the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we can't wait to watch our heroes try to stop Thanos from destroying the world.Â
Here's everything you need to know about the biggest film of the year!
When is it out?
The movie is out in the UK on 26th April! It was originally going to come out a few weeks later in the rest of the world, but Marvel decided to release it a bit earlier. Lucky us! When it comes out, it will be the 19th movie in the Marvel series
What's it about?
Infinity War tells the story of the warlord Thanos, who's coming to Earth to claim the last of the Infinity Stones, gems that contain unlimited power! Our heroes don't really know about Thanos at the start of the film, with only Thor and Loki really having any idea of who he is, and they'll be in for a nasty surprise when the punchy powerhouse arrives to claim the stones!
Who's in it?
Well, everyone! There at at least 70 characters confirmed to appear, but that doesn't mean there won't be little roles and cameos for characters like Ant-Man's Hope and Peter Parker's classmates from Spider-Man: Homecoming. So you can expect to see your favourites like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, Bucky, War Machine, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy and loads more as well as people in smaller roles!
Where is everyone at the start of the film?
SPOILERS FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR! At the end of Civil War, the Avengers had broken up after Iron Man and Captain America fought over what to do with a brainwashed Bucky (and some other stuff). Cap then broke the people on his team out of a prison, and they all disappeared. So at the start of Infinity War, the heroes are spread all over the place. From the trailers we can tell that Captain America, Black Panther and a few others are in Wakanda, while Iron Man, Spider-Man and some others are in New York. Meanwhile, Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy are somewhere in space!
Who are the bad guys?
The main bad guy is Thanos. He's a ruthless warlord from the planet Titan, who was behind the events of the first Avengers movie. He's the father of Nebula and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy, but most of our heroes don't really know much about him. That's about to change! He's helped in his evil scheme by his Black Order, a group of super-strong bad guys. They're called Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw - try to think of a name that sounds more evil than theirs do!
What are the Infinity Stones?
Whatever Thanos wants to do, he needs the Infinity Stones to do it! They are six stones of huge power, and we've seen all but one of them in the films so far! Each one represents a different type of power - Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Soul, and Time. The one we've seen the most is the Tesseract, which is the big blue glowing cube from the first Captain America and Avengers movies. We also saw the Aether in Thor: The Dark World, the Orb in Guardians of the Galaxy, the Scepter in Age of Ultron and the Eye of Agamotto in Doctor Strange. That still leaves one left to find...
What comes after Infinity War?
When the film was first announced, it was called Infinity War Part One, with the next Avengers movie being called Infinity War Part Two.Since then, Avengers 4 has changed its name, but we don't know what to! Before it comes out in 2019, though, we get to see Ant-Man & The Wasp and Captain Marvel!AND THEN, after Avengers 4, we get a new Spider-Man movie! WOOOO!
What are the teams?
Even though really it's about the good guys versus the bad guys, the good guys are divided into three teams at the start of the movie.Team CapCaptain America, Black Panther, Black Widow and Bucky are in Wakanda, and it looks like they'll be there for most of the movie.Team Iron ManIron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and Hulk are in New York at the start of the movie. BUT that means that Hulk, who we last saw in space with Thor, will move between at least two teams over the movie, since we see him in Wakanda later!Team ThorAt the end of the last Thor movie, he was in space along with Loki, Hulk and some others. But it looks like his ship was attacked by Thanos, so he's teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy in this movie. We can't wait!We also know that Vision and Scarlet Witch are on their own at the start of the movie, so you could have Team Scarlet too!
