You’ll probably have seen the fresh dance by now…It’s one of the best Fortnite emotes. But where did it come from?

Well the clue’s in the name…It’s Carlton Bank’s dance on the TV show - Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

It’s actually also known as the Carlton dance. Carlton plays Will Smith’s annoying cousin and he’s famously caught dancing to Tom Jones’ song 'It’s Not Unusual'. 

The actor who plays Carlton is called Alfonso Ribeiro - He made up the dance himself! The dance was apparently inspired by Bruce Springsteen's video for his song, Dancing in the Dark!

The actor was later on the show Dancing with the Stars and included his dance. He actually went on to win the show!

Alfonso is also seen on I’m a Celebrity, teaching the other contestants how to do it!
