But how does this effect you? And what can you do to make sure the people you want to run the country are the people with your best interests at heart?

At Beano we believe in the power of kids, so that is why we are supporting ‘Our Generation. Our Vote’ to help kids have their voices heard nationwide.

'Our Generation. Our Vote' is a political education programme and mass-scale election designed specifically for young people under-18 in primary and secondary schools across England and Wales.

This initiative is a coalition effort among organisations in the youth democracy and education sectors. It will run in the lead up to the upcoming UK General Election.

Young people often feel disconnected from politics, yet the decisions made in politics profoundly impact their lives. 'Our Generation. Our Vote' aims to bridge this gap by supporting young people to engage with the political process.
