George Lucas originally called them 'lazer swords' and they ran on batteries. They could be any colour but the most popular ones are red, blue and green. 

There are seven forms of Lightsaber combat within the Star Wars universe but today we're focusing on those heroic people who've made their own videos of the iconic weapons.

 We've found a school that teaches Lightsaber combat, a boy who duels with his teacher, and some professional fencers who've picked up the lazer sword. 

And just for fun we've also added some animal Lightsaber duels, because why wouldn't we?
